FYI.
We are a church that belongs to
the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. We are located at 384 Talbot Avenue,
Winnipeg Manitoba. The easiest way to drive here from the centre of town
is to go to Portage and Main, go north on Main, take the Disraeli Bridge
cut off and at the bottom of the second hump of the Disraeli, take the
first right which is Talbot. We are several blocks east at the corner of
Talbot and Allan a block and a half north of Nairn Avenue and one block
west of Watt Street.
Our Mission.
Our mission is to reach the lost
of the Elmwood, East and North Kildonan areas of Winnipeg with the life
changing message of Jesus Christ..
What Are We Like?
We are a fairly small, congregation
with an age range of infants to 96 years old. We are very missions oriented
and over the last three years we have almost tripled our missionary giving.
We proclaim a classical Pentecostal message. We believe that Jesus of Nazareth
is the Son of God. We believe that He came to earth, was born as a baby,
raised as a child, ministered the gospel as a man, was crucified, died,
was buried, and rose again on the third day after his crucifixion. We believe
that Jesus loves everyone and that His death was to pay for our sins. Everyone
can be forgiven of their sins by God and receive eternal life, but only
if they will accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. We also believe that
Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would come and comfort, strengthen and guide
the church. It is our belief and experience that the ministry of the Holy
Spirit is for today. We believe that the Bible is our best and most reliable
source of information about God, the world and humanity. It is our rule
of faith. We believe that the church is the best place to find love and
companionship through developing strong relationships with God and His
people.
